Varex Imaging scintillator business located in Heerlen, The Netherlands has been divested to Fluent Wave B.V.
Fluent Wave B.V. is a leading independent supplier of CsI and Phosphor Scintillators for the medical, dental, and industrial markets.
The scintillator business has been in Heerlen since 1985 and was originally a member of the Philips Healthcare manufacturing CsI scintillators for X-ray Image Intensifiers. The group was subsequently acquired by Perkin Elmer Medical Imaging and most recently Varex Imaging after Varex acquired the Perkin Elmer Medical Imaging Group.
Fluent Wave will continue to be an independent supplier of high-quality products in the market. The company’s extensive experience and infrastructure provide customers a partner that can reduce supply chain risk along with optimizing products for their application.
